The Virtues

The Virtues
People more and more feel a physical and psychological need for light and warmth, but also colours that restore the liveliness which is indispensable for living serenely.
To dissolve this psychological ‘low pressure area’ I created a new line of cheerful jewels, which bring an inner spring to those wearing them, a sunray that warms the everyday life, always stressful, nice companions of a run on a tiring thread mill which always takes us to the same place, each and every day.
This is why the Virtù (meaning Virtues) line was created: bracelets, colourful trinkets full of every kind of stones – coral, turquoises, pearls, semi-precious stones, in the shape of flowers, sea stars, fish, leaves.
The name is the same of the traditional dish of the Teramo cuisine; the housewives who managed, at the end of winter, to cook the richest and most savoury vegetable soup using the vegetables conserved since the end of the previous summer, were those who had been the best in administering the provisions, and therefore possessed the Virtues of the good housewife. It was easy to combine the optimal variety of flavours with that of stones. The Virtues are a joy for the taste and are now also a joy for sight.
The idea stemmed from one of the poems I wrote when I was very young - who has never written a poem? The subject of my poem – as the one of my jewels - was the sea:

Foresight

I breathe with the sea
The air full of immensity
And I am not alone
And I fill my lungs with happiness
And my heart swells
And bursts.
I pick up the pieces
I put them in a box
And I store them for the moments I need them

And therefore these jewels become the little pieces of happiness we all need in particular moments of our lives. Certainly, this result may be attained also with less costly solutions; I, as a pure bred person from Pescara, recommend you stroll from time to time to the tip of the wharf, and I assure you that you will feel better.
The Virtù jewels come both with sea-related and flower-related subjects, in order to have jewels for all tastes.
We hope we have managed to achieve this aim.
